Gov. Cuomo is protecting sexual predators

Jonathan Carey “Champion for the Disabled” Born September 12,1993 Killed by caregivers on February 15,2007

Cuomo’s Justice Center makes most reported sexual assaults and rapes of the disabled disappear, top official accused of sexual harassment

Most sexual predators that prey on the vulnerable and weak in New York State are being protected and shielded from prosecution by Governor Cuomo’s corrupt Justice Center.”

— Michael Carey- Advocate for people with disabilities and their families

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, October 25, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Jonathan Carey Foundation which advocates for the safety, health, rights and lives of people with disabilities has been uncovering and publicly exposing New York State’s extremely dangerous mental health care system that is rampant with sexual abuse. Numerous press releases have gone out over the last year revealing wide-scale systemic cover-ups and fraud. The sheer numbers of reported sexual assaults and rapes reveal problems of epic proportion, yet Governor Andrew Cuomo has refused to take emergency actions vitally needed to radically reduce these horrors. Instead the governor has done everything possible to protect the sexual predators, instead of New York State residents with disabilities being sexually assaulted in his agencies.

It has just come out publicly that the head of Governor Cuomo’s abuse hotline for the disabled that has been involved in ensuring that most sexual assaults and rapes reported to his agency were never reported to local police was accused of sexual harassment himself according to the NY Post http://nypost.com/2017/10/23/top-cuomo-official-claims-former-boss-sexually-harassed-employees/ and CBS News https://www.cbsnews.com/news/patricia-gunning-cuomo-administration-aide-claims-harassment-by-superior/ .

The New York Times in their award winning investigative series titled “Abused and Used” http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/nyregion/abused-and-used-series-page.html exposed New York State’s mental health care system for what it is, extremely dangerous and deadly. The very first piece of this massive series which was a runner up for a Pulitzer Prize exposed how the system rewarded and promoted sexual predators. Rick Sousie was literally caught with his pants down and semen was found on the victim who was disabled http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/nyregion/13homes.html . Please read this extremely disturbing piece titled, “At State-Run Homes, Abuse and Impunity” which was written by Danny Hakim on March 12, 2011 and remember that Governor Cuomo could have taken numerous immediate actions to protect the disabled then, but chose to protect the sexual predators instead.

Here it is directly quote by the Times from this extremely damning story;

“At a home upstate in Hudson Falls, two days before Christmas in 2006, an employee discovered her supervisor, Ricky W. Sousie, in the bedroom of a severely disabled, 54-year-old woman. Mr. Sousie, a stocky man with wispy hair, was standing between the woman’s legs. His pants were around his ankles, his hand was on her knee and her diaper was pulled down.

The police were called, and semen was found on the victim. But the state did not seek to discipline Mr. Sousie. Instead, it transferred him to work at another home.”

Another horrific news story is about a New York State male caregiver who was sexually abusing a disabled boy for over two years. This man was allowed to take the boy back to his home where he was videotaping the sex acts. He was caught through a federal porn sting or he would still be committing these sick crimes today http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/new-york-pay-3m-family-boy-molested-group-home-article-1.2977392 . The man, who was finally caught and stopped after years of sexually abusing a young disabled boy, and possibly many others, thankfully was criminally prosecuted by the feds, called New York State’s system “a predator’s dream.”

The sexual assaults and rapes of people with disabilities living in residential facilities and group homes are off the charts. Years worth of New York State records obtained through Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests reveal that for the developmentally disabled in New York State through the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) system alone an average of 325 reported sexual assaults every three months. The tragic reality is that only approximately 3% of these sexual assault cases against the developmentally disabled will ever be reported according to a highly recognized report found on the State of Massachusetts official website http://www.mass.gov/dppc/abuse-recognize/prevalence-of-violence.html. Simply do the math, statistically upwards of one third of New York State residents with disabilities living in OPWDD facilities or sub-contracted private facilities and group homes under OPWDD are being sexually assaulted annually. This evil must be stopped. Most sexual predators that prey on the vulnerable and weak in New York State are being protected and shielded from prosecution by Governor Cuomo’s corrupt Justice Center. Sexual predators that are being protected and shielded from prosecution are also out on the streets able to possibly assault or rape your children because they are not in jail where they belong.

Everything points back to Governor Andrew Cuomo. The Justice Center, which is not a Justice Center, but a fraudulent whitewash cover-up entity, is his agency. Jay Kiyonaga who is accused of sexual harassment and workplace violence by the former Justice Center ‘special prosecutor/inspector general’ was not fired by Governor Cuomo after numerous requests over the last year or now. Jay Kiyonaga has instead been promoted to a top position within OPWDD, as Deputy Commissioner over 126,000 people with disabilities? OPWDD is where staggering sex assault crimes are occurring against the developmentally disabled. Governor Cuomo is protecting sexual predators.

Brent Michael MD to receive prestigious St. John of God Healing Award

Brent Michael, MD 2017 Recipient of The St. John of God Award on November 11

Dr. Brent Michael, Santa Monica California

Dr. Brent Michael, Santa Monica California

Dr. Brent Michael of Santa Monica, California will be a 2017 recipient of the prestigious St. John of God Healing Award on November 11 at the Jonathon Club.

This recognition is especially rewarding because I have been personally inspired by St. John's commitment to the welfare of his patients. This inspired me to begin house calls for the elderly.”

— Brent Michael, MD

SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, October 24, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dr. Brent Michael will receive the St. John of God Healing Award at a dinner held in his honor on 11 November 2017. This will take place at The Jonathon Club. Dr. Michael is a house physician at St. John’s Hospital in the Santa Monica area and will be receiving this award for his work with elderly residents at St. John of God Retirement and Care Centers. The award is “traditionally given to an individual who reflects the dignity of human life in the care of the sick and elderly.”

Dr. Michaels has won many awards of excellence in family practice areas. His extensive medical background and training together with his compassionate approach to care have earned him the respect of his patients and his peers alike.

This award is named after St. John who first trained as a physician before taking his vows. As a physician he devoted himself to the welfare of his patients and visited them day and night, giving them food, blankets, clothing, and medicines. He eventually joined the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God where he continued to serve people with great compassion as Director of the free dental clinic in Brescia. After his death in 1930 at the age of 33, his Godly reputation spread. He was beatified by His Holiness John Paul in 1981 and canonized in 1989.

In an era of much debate about healthcare, little attention is given to the idea that it is all about a person-to-person relationship. This attitude to caring for patients was exemplified by St. John and Dr. Brent Michael exhibits this same quality, making him a worthy recipient of the award. He too understands that he is not just treating a disease or a fever but a sick human being. He provides every patient with the one-on-one attention needed to achieve the best results and to make sure they have complete peace of mind. He is the only doctor who voluntarily visits the hospital during the week and weekends to examine all patients. Any patient whether having insurance or not receives his attention and care.

Dr. Michael attended Emory University as an undergraduate and went on to Southern Illinois University for medical school. His Family Medicine Internship was completed at the University of Miami and his Family Medicine Residency at UCLA. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA in the family medicine department.

He recently celebrated his 12th year of private practice where he offers patients a comprehensive range of health services, including annual physicals, bony density screening, on-site laboratory testing, ultrasound and cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes testing and screening.

He is also a member of many leading medical associations such as the American Association of Family Physicians and has sat on the boards of the Family Medicine Board of UCLA and the Santa Monica Chapter of the Red Cross.
As a physician, he considers care of the elderly as his most rewarding contribution to medicine to date. The residents at St. Benedict, St. Pampuri, and St. Grande Retirement and Care Centers have benefited from his personal visits and individualized care since 2004.

His compassion for people does not stop with the elderly and he founded an evening clinic in Santa Monica to help homeless youth. This was first called Common Ground but underwent a name change and is now known as Venice Family Clinic. He helps individuals addicted to alcohol and opiates and is registered as a Suboxone Addiction/Detoxification Specialist.

Dr. Michael is committed to continuing medical education. His studies in many clinical areas have included palliative care and pain management.

Another way in which he stands apart is the fact that he offers a concierge service, making house calls to patients as part of his practice. He focuses on physical, emotional and spiritual care for the whole irrespective of faith, or Spiritual regions in Los Angeles and Santa Monica. He understands that seeing them in the home situation has many benefits. He sees this as particularly important for the future as we are facing an aging tsunami where caring facilities are likely to become overcrowded and caring for patients within a home setting may become essential.
Dr. Brent Michael exemplifies the type of medical professionals that will be needed in the days to come. He is committed to relating to patients in such a way as to understand their fears and wishes. He is known for fully discussing everything with a patient and making sure that they understand. His way of treating elderly patients as people instead of focusing on their diseases, helps them to retain their dignity at a time when they are growing older and their health may be failing.

Brent Michael, MD is currently practicing as a family physician and primary care doctor, treating patients at his centrally located practice in Santa Monica, California and in surrounding communities. He can be contacted at 310-829-7777 and his offices are at 2001 Santa Monica Boulevard, Suite 1260W, Santa Monica, California.

New York Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges a Nursing Home Employee in New York With Proof Their Employer Is Overbilling Medicare For Medical Treatments to Call About Rewards

We are convinced there probably a more than a few people in New York State who could be millionaires based on their inside information about Medicare fraud and healthcare companies”

— New York Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, October 24, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The New York Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We are urging a manager or an employee at a New York State nursing home, a skilled nursing facility, a dialysis center or a company providing hospice services to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if they can prove their employer is involved in significant Medicare overbilling for needless medical treatments. Recently a small group of whistleblowers with this exact type of information received a $3.6-million-dollar reward.” http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

To illustrate what the New York Corporate Whistleblower Center is talking about in July 2017 the Department of Justice announced a Midwest based healthcare company has agreed to pay approximately $19.5 million to resolve allegations pertaining to the submission of false claims for medically unnecessary rehabilitation therapy and hospice services to Medicare.

The settlement resolves allegations that, from January 2008 through December 2012 the healthcare company submitted bills to Medicare for medically unnecessary rehabilitation therapy services at 18 skilled nursing facilities. The government contended that the therapy services were provided at excessive levels to increase Medicare reimbursement for those services.

According to the New York Corporate Whistleblower Center, “We are convinced there probably a more than a few people in New York State who could be millionaires based on their inside information about Medicare fraud and healthcare companies ripping off the federal government. If you possess this type of information please call us anytime at 866-714-6466. Why sit on a winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it could be worth?” http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the New York Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The New York Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a New York based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded. We also want to emphasize our initiative is statewide throughout New York State including communities such as New York, Rochester, Albany, Yonkers, Syracuse, Schenectady, Utica, or Buffalo.

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing in New York can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com.

What we are talking about here is a healthcare facility in Arizona that is so short-staffed patients are dying because they are not receiving the proper care. ”

— Arizona Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, October 19, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Arizona Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We are urging an employee of a nursing home, rehab center or skilled nursing facility anywhere in Arizona to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if their employer is billing Medicare as if it is fully staffed when in reality it is not. The whistleblower rewards for this specific type of information can potentially be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars or more as we would like to discuss." http://Arizona.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

The types of healthcare workers in Arizona the Arizona Corporate Whistleblower would like to hear from about federal whistleblower rewards include potential whistleblowers who have proof of the following:

* An employee at a nursing home that overbilling Medicare as if it has enough staff members to meet Medicare's minimum standards as far as hours per day of treatment per patient-when in reality the-facility is understaffed and patients are being hospitalized or dying prematurely because of the poor quality of care being provided.
* A nursing home employee who can prove their employer is routinely forcing Medicare patients to undergo medically unnecessary tests or procedures. The nursing home could be located anywhere in Arizona including Phoenix, Tucson, Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, Gilbert, Tempe. Peoria, or Prescott.
* An employee at a skilled nursing facility or rehab center that is forcing Medicare patients to undergo medically unnecessary rehab or therapy every day, or almost every day.
* An employee of a nursing home, rehab center of skilled nursing facility anywhere in Arizona that is routinely up-coding their billing to Medicare to the highest reimbursement levels beyond what the actual treatment that was provided.

The Arizona Corporate Whistleblower Center is saying, “If you are a healthcare worker in Arizona and your employer is overbilling Medicare every day for untruthful staffing levels, or unwarranted medical procedures please call us anytime at 866-714-6466 and allow us to explain how the federal whistleblower reward system works. The wrongdoing must involve at least a million dollars for a whistleblower to get properly compensated. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.”

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing in Arizona can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://Arizona.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com.

Reverend Wanda Outlaw of NE Imani Fellowship to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, October 18, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — A church is not about a building. Ministry is not about preaching from the pulpit. It’s so much more than that. Ministry is about service. However you can help, that’s how you should serve.

Reverend Wanda Outlaw is a minister, author and the founder of NE Imani Fellowship, a non-profit ministry based in the district’s Ward 7 dedicated to serving the vulnerable among us who need our help the most.

“My whole thing is outreach. I love helping people. That’s always been my passion,” says Rev. Outlaw. “I’ve always known I have to interact with people in the street, especially hurting people, and there are a lot of hurting people.

Imani Fellowship is affiliated Imani Temple, an African-American Catholic congregation, an alternative catholic church which broke away from Rome in 1989 to better serve the needs of African-American people.

“Learn the word, be the word. Love as you want to be loved. Serve,” says Rev. Outlaw. “It’s not complex. We believe in helping. My focus is women and children and offering direction to young people.”

Imani Fellowship serves as a source of light within its community through outreach programs like Socks N’ Sandwiches, which they have successfully organized for 15 years.

“We go out into the streets at night in the winter. The homeless tell us what they need and we try to provide,” says Rev. Outlaw. “It’s heavy on your heart but when you’re going out to do the service, most of my volunteers have had transformative experiences. They don’t see greed.”

“We serve the homeless and encourage them and let them know this is not a hand out,” says Rev. Outlaw. “This is not charity. This is about us loving our brothers and sisters, period.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Wanda Outlaw in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on October 20th at 4pm EDT and with Jim Masters on October 27th at 4pm EDT.
