Don’t you wish you didn’t have to learn life’s lessons the hard way?
Beloved school teacher and guidance counselor, Ethel Pearson Levine, lived to age 101.

Over a period of 30 years, she wrote monthly articles for the Sunrise Lakes community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Her articles embrace universal subjects from marriage and divorce to relationships, aging, and death. She took on subjects that affect us all. Within each article, there’s a message, an affirmation, for living a meaningful life. This book is a collection of selected articles from that monthly news magazine, edited by her grandson,
Gary Springer. Available at:

“I just finished reading the book. I loved it and found it so inspiring. Your grandmother and my 2nd grade teacher was one very special lady.
A ‘must read’ for all seniors.”
– Sherry Koslov, former student

Ethel Levine was a wonderful teacher. I loved her. She was very kind. I had a problem in 2nd grade. I became very nearsighted and couldn't see the board. She would let me come up to the front to copy my work. She tested my eyes and found out I needed glasses. It changed my life.”

Intero Real Estate Foundation and Intero Real Estate Services Support Two Major Grateful Garment Project Initiatives

Intero Real Estate Foundation has recently awarded The Grateful Garment Project $10,000 to help fund their Youth Incentive Program.

SAN JOSE, CA, UNITED STATES, September 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — San Jose, CA, September 28, 2017 – The Grateful Garment Project announced that Intero Real Estate Foundation and Intero Real Estate Services are providing major support for two of its most important projects.

Intero Real Estate Foundation has recently awarded The Grateful Garment Project $10,000 to help fund their Youth Incentive Program. In addition, Intero Real Estate Services will partner with The Grateful Garment Project’s Operation emBRAce, which has the goal of collecting 20,000 sports bras to distribute to victims of sexual violence.

“The Intero Real Estate Foundation is a proud supporter of both of these programs. We have been so impressed with the amazing work The Grateful Garment does in our community,” said Lana Morin Pierce, President, Intero Real Estate Foundation. “The Intero Real Estate Foundation has been blessed to be able to provide numerous grants to The Grateful Garment through the years, thanks to the generosity of our agents and staff.”

The funds received from the Intero Real Estate Foundation will allow The Grateful Garment Project to expand a pilot program that already has proved highly successful in encouraging adolescent victims to return after their initial forensic examination. The grant will allow The Grateful Garment Project to purchase gift cards to be used as incentives to motivate adolescent victims to return for vital follow-up services.

“Young people often lack the emotional maturity and understanding required to comprehend the importance of follow up counseling appointments,” said The Grateful Garment Project Executive Director, Lisa J. Blanchard. “The repercussions of untreated sexual violence in adolescents and teens materializes in a myriad of ways including depression, PTSD, self-harming, eating and sleep disorders, substance abuse, dissociation and suicide.”

Intero Real Estate Services will be running awareness and sports bra collection drives in their Northern California locations. A listing of local Intero Real Estate Services offices can be found at www.interorealestate.com

Often, an individual who has been sexually violated is asked to surrender their clothing for evidence during the forensic examination so the clothing can be processed. Without new clothing available, many times these victims are provided hospital scrubs or gowns to wear home. These new bras will be made available at the hospitals where forensic examinations (aka rape kits) are completed.

“Sports bras are an essential part of returning dignity to victims of sexual violence,” said Ms. Blanchard. “However, they also are the least donated and most needed item we have. Sports bras provide the right level of comfort for victims who might have injuries.”

About The Grateful Garment Project

The Grateful Garment Project’s mission is to restore dignity to the victims of sexual violence, and was originally started in 2011 as a Capstone Graduation Project for founder Lisa J. Blanchard’s undergraduate degree. During a chance conversation with a stranger at a women's retreat, she learned that once a victim of sexual violence undergoes a SART exam (aka "Rape Kit"), she or he is often asked to surrender clothing for forensic evidence, leaving the victim with nothing to wear home except a disposable hospital gown or paper scrubs. Blanchard decided to start a clothing closet for the Santa Clara County SART facility located at Valley Medical Center in San Jose. Before her five-week project came to a close, she was approached by a representative from Santa Cruz County pleading for the same type of assistance. Thus, The Grateful Garment Project, as a nonprofit organization, was born. The Grateful Garment Project now provides resources to sexual violence service providers throughout California.

Hope and Life Press announces A Modern Sinner's Guide for the Third Millennium by Catholic editorialist Angelo Stagnaro

First book to make over 70 sins, including the Vatican's new 7 deadly sins and 10 delicts, understandable to modern audiences with practical advice about sin.

A clarion call for the truth in an age that has forgotten sin is an objective thing.”

— Maria McFadden Maffucci and John Meinert, PhD.

EAST LONGMEADOW, MASSACHUSETTS, USA, September 28, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hope and Life Press is pleased to announce the release of the book A Modern Sinner's Guide for the Third Millennium by the National Catholic Register's award-winning editorialist Angelo Stagnaro. The book has been granted the Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur by the Catholic Archdiocese of New York. A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium makes sin understandable to modern audiences and gives practical advice on how to identify and avoid sin in one’s life, deal with temptation, and how to evangelize others who may be unaware of sin’s enormity and its grave nature. Presenting chapters on the foundations of Christianity, the nature of sin, the pursuit of holiness, the Ten Commandments, the seven deadly sins and new deadly sins, the sins against the Holy Spirit, ultimate sins, the unforgiveable sin, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, this book provides an in-depth look on more than 70 sins from a theological and spiritual perspective, together with the consequences of sins and remedies for them. The book uniquely addresses the ten delicts and the new seven deadly social sins promulgated in 2008 by the Vatican. It also has sections on Purgatory, Hell, Divine forgiveness, indulgences, the nature of good and evil, and the Christian spiritual quest.

A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium is suitable for several audiences including RCIA catechumens, catechists, homilists, apologists, canonists, people interested in exploring different forms of Christian spirituality, those interested in comparative religions and spiritual traditions, and Christians interested in developing their own spiritual life. The book, which consists of over 450 pages at size 7" by 10", is available in paperback edition from Amazon, Hope and Life Press, major book outlets, and can be found at the Vatican's libraries. It is also available in ebook edition directly from the publishers.

“In an age such as ours, this book is a clarion call for the truth. A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium by Angelo Stagnaro takes its inspiration from an important and extremely potent spiritual work by Venerable Louis of Granada. We need not a sinner’s guide to happiness and fulfillment, but a guide to sin: its definitions, types, causes, and remedies. One cannot be healed by a doctor until the disease is admitted and this book can serve as a diagnostic manual. One might think the book grim, but this is far from it. Stagnaro, a Third Order Franciscan and prolific writer, is just the person to guide others through the types of sin, their remedies and the Sacrament of Confession. By his own admission, he is an expert in sinning, but also repentance. Only Christ’s light can cast out the darkness of our sins. Only His forgiveness in confession can scrape the scales from our eyes and renew our hearts. Then we shall see anew, see the world as it truly is, and be fully alive” – John Meinert, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Theology, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University.

“Angelo Stagnaro has taken on a hugely ambitious task in A Modern Sinner’s Guide for the Third Millennium, yet the breadth of undertaking makes sense as it is a modern understanding and reworking of Venerable Louis of Granada’s original guide. Stagnaro has followed in formidable footsteps and does so admirably. The book’s length should cause no anxiety. It is not a cover-to- cover read, but a true guidebook, a valuable directory of sin: what sin is, what kinds of sins there are, how they are manifested, and how we can work to avoid them. Despite the guilt-inducing subject matter, A Modern Sinner’s Guide is an engaging and even enjoyable read as Stagnaro writes with compassion, humility and refreshing flashes of humor. The book is timely. In an age that has forgotten that sin is an objective thing, ‘living without values is a sure ticket to self-destruction,’ as Stagnaro says. There are also thought-provoking discussions about some of our modern age’s most contentious and problematic issues” – Maria McFadden Maffucci, Editor, Human Life Review.

Angelo Stagnaro is an award-winning journalist with the UN, newspapers and international wire services in the United States of America (US), Europe and Australia. He is the Catholic News Service's chief correspondent in New York City, the principal liaison for the Holy See, and an editorialist for the National Catholic Register. His major articles have appeared in the Washington Post, Catholic Herald, National Catholic Reporter, America Magazine, and The Tablet among others. Stagnaro is the author of several books on Catholic spirituality including How to Pray the Dominican Way, The Pro-Life Apologetics Manual, The Christian Book of the Dead, and The Catechist's Magic Kit. A professional stage mentalist and one of the world's experts on cold reading, he is also the author of eight seminal works on stage magic and cold reading that have been translated into multiple languages. Stagnaro graduated from SUNY-Albany and Kansai Gaikokugo Daigaku with specializations in the Ethnology of Religion, Comparative Asian Religions and Physical Anthropology. He also pursued theological studies at the University of Notre Dame. Stagnaro is a professed member of the Secular Franciscans and has served as RCIA catechist in New York and Singapore.

Rohingya Refugees Attacked by Sri Lankan Buddhist Monks as Government Threatened to Deport. TGTE urges UN to Protect

Budhist Monks thereaten Rohingya refugees as Police looked on

COLOMBO, SRI LANKA, September 27, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ —

Transnational Government of Tamil Eelam (TGTE) today urged UN to intervene urgently to protect Rohingya Muslim refugees in Sri Lanka, where they are under attack by Buddhist Monks.

Several Sri Lankan Buddhist monks stormed a United Nations safe house for Rohingya refugees near Sri Lanka’s capital on Tuesday. Saffron-robed Buddhist monks led a mob that broke down gates and entered the walled multi-storied compound as frightened refugees huddled together in upstairs rooms, a police official said. Not a single Buddhist monk was arrested.

“These are Rohingya terrorists who killed Buddhist monks in Myanmar,” the monk said in his live commentary on Facebook, pointing to Rohingya mothers with small children in their arms.

Sri Lanka’s Buddhist monks have very close links with their counterparts in Myanmar. Both have been accused of orchestrating violence against minority Muslims in the two countries.

Earlier, Sri Lanka Prime Minister threatened to deport these Rohingya refugees, saying “ They can go to neighboring countries like Bangladesh and Thailand."

A UN report in February 2017 claims the Myanmar army’s campaign targeting the Rohingya involved mass killings, gang rapes and the burning down of villages, likely amounting to crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing.

Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Appeals to a Healthcare Employee in Delaware To Call Them About Rewards If Their Employer Is Overbilling Medicare For Unnecessary Procedures

What makes Delaware unique it is a small state, and local healthcare providers can get away with all kinds of things and the employees say nothing out of fear of losing their job”

— Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, September 26, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center is urging an employee of a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, a nursing home, a hospice provider, a dialysis center or a in home healthcare company anywhere in Delaware to call them at 866-714-6466 if their employer is engaged in significant overbilling of Medicare. They are specifically focused on a healthcare provider billing Medicare for performing unnecessary medical procedures. http://Delaware.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Examples of the type of potential healthcare whistleblower the Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center would like to hear from:

* A ER doctor in Delaware who has proof their hospital/employer is billing Medicare for unneeded medical procedures on a very regular basis.
* An employee or insider with proof a cardiology group in Delaware that is performing unnecessary cardiac catheterizations their patients.
* An employee of a 'Sleep Center' that is gouging Medicare with significant up-coding or for medical procedures that never took place or procedures that were medically unnecessary.
* A hospice provider in Delaware that is billing Medicare for their patients-who are not dying.
* A nursing home in Delaware that is billing Medicare as if they are fully staffed when in reality the nursing home is under staffed and Medicare patients are receiving very poor care.

The Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We are urging a medical doctor or healthcare worker in Delaware to call us anytime at 866-714-6466 if they have proof their employer is involved in significant overbilling of Medicare. In some instances, an eyewitness account is good enough. What makes Delaware unique it is a small state, and local healthcare providers can get away with all kinds of things and the employees say nothing out of fear of losing their job.

"Why sit on a winning lotto ticket without ever discovering what it could be worth? We are all about helping a Idaho healthcare whistleblower getting rewarded for their information about substantial Medicare overbilling as we would like to discuss anytime” http://Delaware.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The Delaware Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a Delaware based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.”

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing in Delaware can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://Delaware.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com

If you live long enough, life will trash your trophies.”

— Dr. James C. Dobson

WOODLAND PARK, COLORADO, UNITED STATES, September 25, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dr. James C. Dobson, founder and president of Family Talk, addressed a local audience of over 700 students and staff, as well as community visitors, at Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Colorado. Andrew Wommack, founder of Charis Bible College, and Dr. Dobson have, over the last few years, collaborated on projects surrounding the defense of marriage and the family.

Dr. Dobson’s presentation began with a short video commemorating Dr. Dobson’s 40th anniversary of devoting himself to the preservation of the family and providing resources to support marriages and families in need. The video included many of his achievements, such as advising five presidents and serving on six federal commissions. It has been documented that he is one of the most influential evangelical leaders of his time.

From his decades of insight, he spoke to the gathering from his heart saying, “If you live long enough, life will trash your trophies.” As a two-time college tennis champion at Point Loma Nazarene University, in Point Loma, California, Dr. Dobson realized his freshman dream to see his name on the tennis trophy in the PLNU trophy case. Humorously he told the audience of how fifteen years later, a friend found the discarded tennis trophy in the university’s dumpster. To the surprise of the audience, Dr. Dobson pulled out the trophy from under a blue cloth and the audience broke out in laughter. After surviving a heart attack twenty-seven years ago, and Dr. Dobson emphasizes how very few experiences in life pass the “end-of-life test.” He closed his talk by saying, “There are only three things that stand the test of time: who you love, who loves you, and what you’ve done in the service to the Lord.”

Michael Jay Solomon’s Truli.com to Debut Aaron Wolf’s Original New Series, “Restoring Your Tomorrow”

Michael Jay Solomon, Luciana Solomon and Aaron Wolf attend the premiere of “Restoring Tomorrow”.

Leonard Maltin Interviews Rabbi Steve Leder and Aaron Wolf

“Restoring Tomorrow” – The story of Wilshire Boulevard Temple’s physical and spiritual restoration, and the rediscovery of faith, family and community.

Just in time for the Jewish High Holidays! Wolf to premiere "Restoring Your Tomorrow", the companion series to his acclaimed documentary, "Restoring Tomorrow".

"Across our country, there is a movement going on at the local level that proves America still works. Real-life stories of faith and hope are the heart and soul of the Restoring Your Tomorrow series”.”

— Aaron Wolf

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Industry pioneer Michael Jay Solomon, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Truli Media Group, Inc. and Aaron Wolf, co-Founder of Howling Wolf Productions, announced their plans to debut Wolf’s new original series Restoring Your Tomorrow on Truli.com, Solomon’s OTT platform that distributes faith and family friendly content to a global audience. Restoring Your Tomorrow is the companion series to Wolf’s feature documentary, Restoring Tomorrow, which is distributed by Seventh Art and currently on a city-by-city tour of the US.

Michael Jay Solomon and Aaron Wolf (grandson of Rabbi Alfred Wolf, of Wilshire Boulevard Temple), have close ties to the history and legacy represented by Restoring Tomorrow. The film tells the extraordinary story of filmmaker Aaron Wolf as he rediscovers his faith, family and roots as his childhood temple fights for survival in this universal story of hope. Built in 1929, the restoration of this treasured Hollywood landmark, spearheaded by Senior Rabbi Steve Leder, was a massive undertaking spanning six years and costing $150 million dollars. The revitalization project was also reflected in the surrounding neighborhoods, as many nearby communities benefit from the social and community outreach services provided by Wilshire Boulevard Temple. The film has received extensive coverage in publications such as The Los Angeles Times, Variety, Tablet Magazine, Guideposts and The Times of Israel.

The story continues with Restoring Your Tomorrow as Aaron Wolf documents his travels to communities around the US that are falling apart and demonstrates that Americans can still come together across generational, religious, racial and social lines. As the Jewish high holidays approach, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and now, this new series, Restoring Your Tomorrow, we encourage audiences to look beyond their immediate present and reflect on their community’s future and the future of all communities around them. Wolf shared, “During the release of Restoring Tomorrow, I have traveled around the country and discovered there are similar dramatic stories unfolding in communities large and small, much like my own, with so many people in need of their own personal "restoration". Across our country, there is a movement going on at the local level that proves America still works. Going on these adventures with these real-life stories of potential demise and hopeful rebirth is the heart and soul of the Restoring Your Tomorrow series”.

Mr. Solomon congratulates Aaron and his team on the resounding success of the feature documentary, Restoring Tomorrow. He states, “I am very pleased to collaborate with Aaron on this new inspirational project.” “Restoring Your Tomorrow is not just the story of Wilshire Boulevard Temple, it is potentially the story of all communities of faith, and one that should inspire them to renew the spiritual and social impact they have in their own neighborhoods. Additionally, this project is very special to me as Wilshire is not only my personal place of worship, but I also have the great honor of calling Rabbi Steve Leder my dear friend. Recognizing his accomplishments, leadership, and vision, is my great pleasure”.

Uplifting new recording; choreographed montage of actual Houston Hurricane Harvey Heroes; photographs are both heartbreaking and heartwarming.

Pictures of everyday Houstonians tell a story of remarkable human kindness in response to unbelievable human suffering. Randy Newman’s hauntingly beautiful song is the perfect sound track.”

— Singer Larry Caldwell

LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Youtube at https://youtu.be/7cvlRPXjxiA

Singer Larry Caldwell "was so overwhelmed by the hundreds of heartbreaking images of Hurricane Harvey victims" on the internet, he "had to do something to help them, and honor the heroes who rescued them."

"I became even more determined to act when I saw the Hurricane Harvey and its victims had all but vanished from the national news mere days after the worst hurricane to devastate Texas in 50 years."

So Caldwell, along with record producer Jon Gilutin and video director-editor Troi GeBorde, created a powerfully moving music video, "Human Kindness: Heroes Helping Victims of Houston Hurricane Harvey," set to Caldwell’s recording of "I Think It’s Going To Rain Today;" Randy Newman’s classic ode to human kindness responding to human suffering ("human kindness is overflowing, I think it’s going to rain today").

Caldwell says "pictures of everyday Houstonians tell a story of remarkable human kindness and courage in response to unbelievable human suffering."

"Randy Newman’s hauntingly beautiful song is the perfect sound track."

"All you want to say is "How can I help?" after seeing and hearing this heartfelt performance by Larry Caldwell. The visual takes you to the heart of the tragedy, and the beautiful song stirs compassion for the victims of Hurricane Harvey," said Bobby Watson, former bassist for Rufus and Chaka Khan.

"Larry Caldwell channels the soul of Leon Russell as he sings up a storm for hurricane relief," said writer-director Brian Lane ("Remington Steele," "MacGyver").

Caldwell explains, "The aim of the video is to honor the victims and heroes of Hurricane Harvey, and to help raise money for the relief effort through The Red Cross, Save the Children, Musicares, and the Humane Society."

"We’re donating all proceeds from the video to these charities," said Caldwell.

"Trillions of gallons of water fell on Houstonians, damaging seventy per cent of their homes."

"They need all the human kindness we can show them."

“Human Kindness” can be seen on Youtube https://youtu.be/7cvlRPXjxiA

Available for use by all charities helping the Hurricane Harvey relief effort.
