Harvey Weinstein vs. Governor Andrew Cuomo

Jonathan Carey “Champion for the Disabled” Born September 12,1993 Killed by caregivers on February 15,2007

What is worse sexual harassment, sexual abuse and rape or the wide-scale cover-ups of sexual abuse and rapes?

It is time that all people involved in sexual harassment, sexual assaults, rapes and the cover-ups of these acts to be publicly shamed and held accountable both civilly and criminally.”

— Michael Carey

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, November 7, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — We are at a tipping point of some levels of societal reformation and the sexual harassment, sexual abuse and rape topic is all over the national news every day. So let’s look at the big picture and not just focus in on one aspect of this evil alone. It is important to stress this for what it really is; this is evil that we are dealing with that has been kept in the dark for far too long. It is time that all people involved in sexual harassment, sexual assaults, rapes and the cover-ups of these acts to be publicly shamed and held accountable both civilly and criminally.

Sexual harassment, sexual abuse and rape against anyone is a devastating violation against them, it is a fact. Most forms of this sexual abuse is obviously illegal, there should not be any statute of limitations. The second side of this dark coin is the people that enable this type of horrific behavior in any way or are part of covering it up to protect the sexual perpetrators. These people are just as guilty and in many cases guiltier because they allow it to stay in the dark and to continue. Let’s all remember Mr. Sandusky and the people that looked the other way at Penn State. According to Wikipedia, the criminal charges were; Involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, indecent assault, criminal intent to commit indecent assault, corruption of minors and endangering the welfare of children.

The allegations just keep surfacing against Harvey Weinstein and thank God that many other women are coming forward. Thankfully, in the midst of everything many other men are being implicated as well. I will not mince words in anyway, it is critically important that the truth comes out now regarding another secret that many people in authority that are tied in and involved do not want to come to light which is the massive cover-ups of sexual assaults and rapes within State and private mental health facilities and group homes. Imagine if you are women suffering a devastating trauma or loss in your life and you are struggling emotionally and in need of some temporary mental health treatment and those employed rape you. Now you are further damaged as a direct result. What about if this person was caught many times, but was protected and shielded by the State and the Union? I am interjecting another part to this sexual abuse culture that also needs to come out now for the well being of many innocent women, children and men in extreme danger, right now.

My name is Michael Carey and as the founder of the Jonathan Carey Foundation, I advocate for the safety, protections and equal rights of this extremely vulnerable group of people. Do not let this window of time pass without addressing the entire culture of sexual abuse and cover-ups. Let this be the time that major reforms genuinely occur across the board and let’s remove all the bad apples on every level.

My personal expertise surrounds New York State’s mental health care system that is rampant with sexual abuse, rapes and cover-ups. It is a simple fact and I will explain why this is going on to such extreme levels. When employees and direct care workers do not have to go through a federal criminal background check or an in depth employment background check, practically any rapist or pedophile can easily be hired in New York State’s system. It is probably the exact same in most, if not all, other States as well. When you do not have sufficient staffing levels and surveillance cameras, sexual predators can literally do anything they want. One pedophile and former New York State employed caregiver that was caught in a federal porn sting said of New York’s system “it was a predators dream” https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/crime/2017/02/20/predators-dream-ny-pays-3m-family-molested-boy/98154714/ . Here is the direct quote from this AP News story written by David Klepper

“New York State is paying $3 million to the family of developmentally disabled boy repeatedly molested by a staffer at a state-run group home who later wrote that lax supervision at the facility made it "a predator's dream."

It is Governor Andrew Cuomo that attempted to spin a massive problem of physical and sexual abuse occurring within his mental health agencies into something different following the award winning New York Times “Abused and Used” investigative reporting series which was a runner up for a Pulitzer Prize http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/nyregion/abused-and-used-series-page.html . Governor Cuomo took decisive actions to shut down all independent legal entities that could advocate for and try to protect the disabled, fully understanding the grave dangers http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/13/nyregion/13homes.html . In this enlightening NY Times piece from this extremely powerful series, a man named Ricky Sousie was caught in the sex act and was simply shuffled to another group home. It is Governor Cuomo who directed all calls of sexual abuse, which are crimes, to go to his own corrupt abuse hotline, wrongfully called the Justice Center. To keep these crimes from going to 911 call systems throughout New York State is simply to prevent police and emergency medical personnel from being able to immediately respond to rapes. It is Governor Cuomo that directed his top officials to make most of these crimes completely disappear on paper to protect the State from lawsuits, but also dangerous facilities from being shut down or defunded by the federal government. It is Governor Cuomo that just secretly promoted Jay Kiyonaga, who headed up this corrupt abuse hotline after numerous requests for his firing and allegation of sexual harassment.

So that everyone everywhere knows the scope of sexual abuse that is going on within the NYS Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) which now Mr. Kiyonaga is a Deputy Commissioner of, it is approximately 325 reported cases of sexual assault every three months or 1,300 a year. It is critical that you understand that according to a very reputable study up on the State of Massachusetts website called “Prevalence of Violence” you will see that only 3% of sexual abuse of the developmentally disabled will ever be reported http://www.mass.gov/dppc/abuse-recognize/prevalence-of-violence.html Do the math – multiply 1,300 times 33 to get the approximate real numbers which statistically would be 42,900 in a system of 126,000 developmentally disabled children and adults. Another way to look at these horror and astronomical atrocities is that approximately one third of the people with developmental disabilities will be sexually assaulted once every year. Governor Cuomo has taken no significant actions to stop or prevent any of these sex crimes or cover-ups.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has known about these horrors all along as the governor and long before, it was brought to his and his top staff’s attention when he was the Attorney General. Both Mylan Denerstein and Alphonso David were thoroughly briefed by Michael Carey with extensive documents and they along with Attorney General Cuomo did nothing to stop any of the sexual assaults, rapes or cover-ups. It is now a felony to knowingly do anything likely to be injurious to an incompetent or physically disabled person because of Jonathan Carey’s tragic death and Michal Carey’s hard work. Governor Cuomo, Mylan Denerstein, Alphonso David, Jay Kiyonaga, James Introne, Courtney Burke, Paul Francis, Kerry Delaney and many others that I am alleging to be involved in the cover-ups of most sex crimes and rapes of the disabled have escaped justice, but they must be held accountable now.

No longer can 911 and local police be bypassed. 911 call systems must be immediately called by all mandated reporters regarding all sexual abuse and rapes. If you agree please go to the Jonathan Carey Foundation website and sign 911 Petition and please consider helping us with a donation to help us in this incredibly important Civil Rights Movement. http://jonathancareyfoundation.org/donate/

NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo Overwhelming Silent on Sexual Harassment & Sexual Abuse

The national spotlight is on sexual harassment and sexual abuse, so the big question now is, why is New York Governor Andrew Cuomo silent?

We are in desperate need of a major spiritual awakening and we need righteous leaders to stand up and speak up now against this evil.”

— Michael Carey

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — Harvey Weinstein was a major campaign contributor to Governor Andrew Cuomo. Harvey Weinstein is why sexual harassment, rape and sexual abuse are getting so much national attention right now and rightfully so, sexual abuse and sexual harassment are major problems. Where there are major problems, major actions are required to fix or minimize them, this is what leaders do. We have a sick problem in our society; people prey on and try to control or use others for their own personal gratification through many different means, no matter what the cost to others. Tragically, sexual abuse and sexual harassment is probably the largest societal problem and when coupled with money, when in many cases it does, it is exponentially bigger. Lives are being destroyed, countless innocent and extremely vulnerable people are in many cases forever tainted and damaged as a result of sexual abuse or sexual harassment. We are in desperate need of a major spiritual awakening and we need righteous leaders to stand up and speak up now against this evil.

Within the last week I watched the eye opening and jaw dropping movie, Spotlight, which by film brought out the amazing feat of journalism that exposed disgusting child sexual abuse and rapes of God only knows of how many boys and girls by catholic priests. Within the last few weeks alone the news stories just keep coming out, one woman after another keep coming out to explain what many say Harvey Weinstein did to them. But the news is not only what is being alleged regarding Harvey Weinstein, but many other men as well. Bad things are coming to light much more now for a reason and it is because it is time to deal with these horrific problems, not sweep them under the rug.

Two New Yorkers in top position of authority that Governor Cuomo appears to know well have been in the news and public spotlight lately because of allegations of sexual harassment. The first is Jay Kiyonaga who headed up the governors troubled abuse hotline for the disabled called the Justice Center. Kiyonaga was promoted secretly by Cuomo after allegations of sexual harassment as reported on by the NY Post and CBS news. The New York Post first broke this story about Jay Kiyonaga titled “Top Cuomo official claims former boss sexually harassed employees” http://nypost.com/2017/10/23/top-cuomo-official-claims-former-boss-sexually-harassed-employees/ . This story was picked up by many media outlets including CBS News which added an important piece to this puzzle; their story is titled “Former Cuomo aide claims harassment by superior https://www.cbsnews.com/news/patricia-gunning-cuomo-administration-aide-claims-harassment-by-superior/ . Mr. Kiyonaga was promoted instead of fired, why?

Numerous calls for the firing of Jay Kiyonaga went directly to the Governor and his Deputy Secretary of Health, Paul Francis, by Michael Carey, the founder of the Jonathan Carey Foundation, for many months before these sexual harassment allegations surfaced publicly, they all were ignored. Instead of Jay Kiyonaga being fired for allegations of covering –up sex crimes and deaths of people with disabilities, Jay Kiyonaga was left in his position for many months and then secretly promoted by Governor Cuomo. The people of New York State have the right to know these answers to why was Jay Kiyonaga promoted and how could a person that could possibly be a danger to people with disabilities or women be promoted to become the Deputy Commission of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)?The Governor of Kentucky just called for the resignation of any elected official involved in sexual harassment in this breaking news story “Ky Gov calls for any elected official accused of sexual harassment to resign” http://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/358795-ky-gov-calls-for-any-elected-official-accused-of-sexual-harassment-to

This leads to numerous questions surrounding Jay Kiyonaga that Governor Cuomo himself must answer now;

• Governor Cuomo, why were these sexual harassment and workplace violence accusations against Jay Kiyonaga kept quiet from the public to only surface now, two months after the fact?

• Governor Cuomo, why was Jay Kiyonaga subsequently promoted to a top administration position within the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), which is rampant with sexual abuse and highly staffed by women?

• Governor Cuomo, why was Jay Kiyonaga not fired long ago when allegations of his involvement in covering up sexual assaults and rapes of staggering numbers of people with developmental disabilities were brought to your direct attention?

• Governor Cuomo, why is it that you claim that you are a champion for women’s rights and you have allowed the retaliation against Miss Gunning after she overcame her fears to report Mr. Kiyonaga?

• Governor Cuomo, why are you not taking decisive actions to address sexual harassment or sexual abuse of the disabled in New York State?

• Governor Cuomo, why are you not moving to take significant actions by law to prevent and stop the wide-scale sexual abuse and rapes of people with disabilities and mental illness within your own agencies?

• Governor Cuomo, why are you not putting measures in place to protect and assist whistle-blowers reporting sexual abuse or any type of abuse, neglect or fraud?

• Governor Cuomo, why are you ignoring the clear dangers surrounding sexual harassment, sexual abuse and the cover-ups that endanger women and obviously any vulnerable person?

• Governor Cuomo, why are you silent on this sexual harassment and sexual abuse when the topic of sexual harassment is in the national spotlight?

• Governor Cuomo, are not other women or vulnerable people in harm’s way and danger if sexual predators of any kind are protected and shielded from firing and prosecution?

• Governor Cuomo, how can you promote Jay Kiyonaga after most reported sexual assaults and rapes of the disabled within the agency he headed internally were covered-up and purposefully kept from local police and County Elected District Attorney’s?

• Governor Cuomo, why have you not fired Jay Kiyonaga from State employment after a whirlwind of allegations of sexual assault cover-ups, as well as allegations of sexual harassment and workplace violence?

• Governor Cuomo, why the extreme silence?

Following the NY Post story regarding allegations of sexual harassment by Jay Kiyonaga another top State official and ally of Governor Cuomo resigned after allegations surfaced. This news story titled, “LANGWORTHY QUESTIONS GOVERNOR'S KNOWLEDGE OF HOYT SETTLEMENT” is extremely powerful because the Governor must have close knowledge and possible involvement in these cases
http://www.spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/top-stories/2017/11/02/langworthy-questions-governor-s-knowledge-of-hoyt-settlement- . These additional news stories also raise questions regarding what Governor Cuomo knew and what was he possibly involved in, maybe this is the reason for the overwhelming silence from the governor? http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/hoyts-departure-continues-to-raise-questions/488131188 The Buffalo News story titled, “State offers no answers to questions surrounding Hoyt departure” speaks volumes http://buffalonews.com/2017/11/01/state-offers-no-answers-to-questions-surrounding-hoyt-departure/ .

Governor Andrew Cuomo must personally answer the questions about Jay Kiyonaga, as well as these ones the Buffalo News is asking him about Sam Hoyt;

• “Why did Hoyt's boss, Howard A. Zemsky, applaud Hoyt’s record when investigations were under way over allegations that Hoyt had sexually harassed a state employee?”

• “Why did Hoyt, a close official and political operative of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, “separate from state service” at the Empire State Development Corp. only this week when a probe of his romantic relationship with the a fellow state employee began months ago?”

• “Were Hoyt's superiors aware of a $50,000 settlement that he paid the state employee in return for her silence and a promise to not seek legal recourse?”

Sexual harassment is a huge problem and there should be zero tolerance for any of this type of behavior in the workplace or any facility or group home caring for people with disabilities, but I believe everyone would agree that sexual abuse and rape or being involved in covering up sexual abuse and rapes are far worse.

Governor Cuomo, you are the Governor of New York State and these are severe problems within New York State and within your agencies that directly endanger the safety and health of countless women and vulnerable people with disabilities. Governor, you must take immediate and decisive actions to stop all sexual harassment, sexual abuse of the disabled in your agencies and the keeping of these crimes from local independent authorities.

No longer can 911 and local police be bypassed. 911 call systems must be immediately called by all mandated reporters regarding all sexual abuse. If you agree please go to the Jonathan Carey Foundation website and sign 911 Petition and please consider helping us with a donation http://jonathancareyfoundation.org/donate/ .

Cuomo Ignores Questions on Sexual Harassment

Governor Cuomo remains silent on sexual harassment allegations in midst of secret settlement, resignation and promotion of top State officials

Governor Cuomo cannot continue to remain silent regarding Jay Kiyonaga, who was quietly promoted following allegations of sexual harassment and workplace violence.”

— Michael Carey

ALBANY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — As news of another sexual harassment case secretly settled for $50,000 surfaces publicly, Gov. Cuomo remains silent? Governor Cuomo cannot continue to remain silent regarding Jay Kiyonaga, who was quietly promoted following allegations of sexual harassment and workplace violence http://www.einpresswire.com/press-releases/preview/2394542 . Governor Cuomo must break his silence and he must take emergency actions to protect women, as well as people with developmental disabilities in possible danger.

Calls for the firing of Jay Kiyonaga to the Governor and his Deputy Secretary of Health, Paul Francis, by Michael Carey, the founder of the Jonathan Carey Foundations for many months before these sexual harassment allegations surfaced publicly went ignored. Instead of Jay Kiyonaga being fired for allegations of covering –up sex crimes and deaths of people with disabilities, Jay Kiyonaga was left in his position for many months and then secretly promoted by Governor Cuomo.

The questions now are why is Jay Kiyonaga still employed by New York State? Why was Jay Kiyonaga not removed and fired long ago? Why was everything kept quiet by Governor Cuomo and his administration? Why was Jay Kiyonaga promoted instead? How many women were involved? Why is the governor silent and not taking emergency actions? Why is the governor who usually claims he champions women rights not being a strong voice and leader on the sexual harassment issue that has gained national attention? Is there some sort of political blackmail happening in this case because of so much controversial news about Governor Cuomo’s Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs (Justice Center), which Kiyonaga headed? What really happened behind closed doors in secret within the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs offices? What would Jay Kiyonaga know that possibly could hurt the governor that would allow him to get promoted instead of fired? What skeletons are in this closet?

Following the NY Post story regarding allegations of sexual harassment by Jay Kiyonaga another top State official and ally of Governor Cuomo resigned. This news story titled, “LANGWORTHY QUESTIONS GOVERNOR'S KNOWLEDGE OF HOYT SETTLEMENT” is extremely powerful because the Governor must have close knowledge and possible involvement in these cases.
http://www.spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/buffalo/top-stories/2017/11/02/langworthy-questions-governor-s-knowledge-of-hoyt-settlement- . These additional news stories also raise questions regarding what Governor Cuomo knew and what was he possibly involved in http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/hoyts-departure-continues-to-raise-questions/488131188 . The Buffalo News story titled, “State offers no answers to questions surrounding Hoyt departure” speaks volumes http://buffalonews.com/2017/11/01/state-offers-no-answers-to-questions-surrounding-hoyt-departure/ – gee I wonder why? Governor Andrew Cuomo must personally answer the questions above, as well as the ones the Buffalo News is asking;

"Why did Hoyt's boss, Howard A. Zemsky, applaud Hoyt’s record when investigations were under way over allegations that Hoyt had sexually harassed a state employee?

Why did Hoyt, a close official and political operative of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, “separate from state service” at the Empire State Development Corp. only this week when a probe of his romantic relationship with the a fellow state employee began months ago?

Were Hoyt's superiors aware of a $50,000 settlement that he paid the state employee in return for her silence and a promise to not seek legal recourse?"

Governor Cuomo, it is time you break your silence on sexual harassment and these two top State officials, you must answer these tough questions yourself, including what you personally knew and when? Governor Cuomo, what was your involvement?

Enough is enough of either the extreme silence or flippant one- liners from your press office governor – answer all the questions surrounding Kiyonaga and Hoyt. Governor Cuomo, your silence and refusal to answer questions regarding these specific sexual harassment allegations only raises further questions that could implicate you or make people believe you have something to hide. Sexual harassment is extremely serious. Covering up sex crimes and deaths of people with disabilities is extremely serious.

It is important to end this press release with a New York State document that reveals Mr. Kiyonaga’s alleged involvement in covering-up deaths of people with disabilities http://www.justicecenter.ny.gov/sites/default/files/documents/JusticeCenterDeathReportingClarification12-17-15.pdf . The law requires County Medical Examiners and Coroners to be investigating all deaths in institutional settings, not provider agency staff, as Mr Kiyonaga directs. These practices of circumventing and bypassing the 911 call systems, local police, County elected District Attorney’s and Medical Examiners and Coroners are how criminally negligent deaths and homicides of the disabled in residential care facilities and group homes are easily covered-up. Jay Kiyonaga headed this up and he is promoted by Governor Cuomo instead of being fired?

No longer can 911 and local police be bypassed. 911 call systems must be immediately called by all victims, witnesses and mandated reporters regarding all sexual abuse. If you agree please go to the Jonathan Carey Foundation website and sign the 911 Petition and please consider helping us with a donation http://jonathancareyfoundation.org/donate/ . Thank you.

Stone Sculptor Terrell Kaucher Creates Meditative Kakemono Scrolling Posters that Inspire Our Higher Selves

Left view

Terrell (Terry) Kaucher fell in love with the people, culture, and art he encountered along the Khmer Road which leads through Cambodia, Laos and Thailand

“My passion for rediscovering these little known anthropological sites led me to establish two companies: Emerald Triangle Tours and, most recently, Khmer Road Sculpture.”

— Terrell Kaucher (sculptor and artist)

SAN MARCOS , CALIFORNIA , USA , November 3, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — On holiday in Southeast Asia, stone sculptor and Kakemono scroll artist Terrell (Terry) Kaucher fell in love with the people, culture, and art he encountered between Cambodia, Laos and Thailand along the Khmer Road. This ancient highway is no longer very distinct. It’s been overtaken by the jungle in many places. Yet, the historical sites along the ancient road remain, and as Terry learned about the Khmer civilization – its history, architecture, culture, and religion – his enchantment with the road grew. “This culturally rich area where Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand meet – the Emerald Triangle – has become my home,” shares Terry. “My passion for rediscovering its little known anthropological sites led me to establish two companies: Emerald Triangle Tours and, most recently, Khmer Road Sculpture.”

Terry has been conducting tours of the Triangle’s historical sites for more than a decade. (To book yours, visit http://emeraldtriangletours.com.) In response to the shocking desecration and looting that (still) takes place at the ancient sites, he established Khmer Road Sculpture with dual intention: first, he wished to bring attention to the plight of the Khmer stone masterpieces. Second, he desired to share the serene, spiritual, and meditative energies of the Buddha images. “I have selected some of the most iconic Buddha styles in history to recreate, and I employ local artisans to assist me in the carving,” he explains. Terry sculpts magnificent stone Buddha’s with great care, emulating the same traditions practiced by the ancient Khmer craftsman.

In addition to his stone artworks, Terry also creates breathtaking Kakemono scrolling posters, which feature wonderfully textured and colorful prints of his iconic Buddha sculptures. When he learned of the traditional Kakemono art form, he flew across the world to spend a year in Tokyo studying this traditional style, an art requiring skill that artists and craftsmen spend an entire lifetime developing. Their work is highly prized in Japan, and the pieces that date back thousands of years are priceless. Terry began to play with idea of recreating the silk medium used for the scrolls. “I wanted to capture this ancient art form in a high quality, affordable rendition that could be made available to everyone. The process of recreating them took several years. The perfection of a silk-like fiber fabric that would allow the deep saturation of natural pigment inks was challenging. The two-piece slotted dowel and locking wedge is an expensive but necessary touch to keep with tradition.”

Peruse the Khmer Road Sculpture website and you’ll discover Terry’s eye-popping Color series, which feature vibrant, deeply saturated prints. His Antique series mimic the impression of ancient oil paintings, employing rich sepia colors to draw visual emphasis to the cracking and weathering of the stone masterpieces. Finally, Chinese characters complement the Buddha’s pictured in Terry’s Chinese Calligraphy series. He’s created his artworks to perfectly fit any space – small or large – and each is one-of-a-kind, authentic, and absolutely stunning. You can shop his Kakemono scrolling posters on his website. Stone sculptures are available by special request or commissions alone.

Spontaneity, experimentation, and adventure mark Terry’s endeavors, which draw from a deep love for humanity and history, and a drive to cause positive, sustainable change on our planet. His transformation as an artist is striking; the Khmer Road-influenced stone carvings and Kakemono scrolling posters seem alien to the custom car pin striping of his youth. His artistic and entrepreneurial journey has involved manufacturing cedar incense shingles, growing avocados and cherimoyas, and even developing a kelp-based fertilizer!

Today, Terry’s Buddha sculptures engage his audience in a meditation that inspires peace and unconditional kindness. Terry emphasizes, “This world desperately needs to come together for the sake of mankind. I feel a sense of pride knowing that my artwork may have helped to make someone’s day more thoughtful. Buddha has become a worldwide icon, representing peaceful calmness, serenity, spirituality, and meditation. My images of Buddha are meant to enhance the inner-self and to bring thoughtful meditation. Just the peaceful countenance of a Buddha image can bring good thoughts.”

Learn more about Terry and his artwork by visiting his website and social media, as well as Ebay, Etsy, and Amazon. If you check out his YouTube channel, you’ll find meditative and spiritual videos that showcase famous quotes from history and sage advice from Buddha.

California Corporate Whistleblower Center Is Urging a Nursing Home Employee in California With Proof Their Facility is Short Staffed or Billing Medicare For Needless Care to Call About Rewards

Call them anytime at 866-714-6466 if they possess proof their employer is billing Medicare as if the facility is fully staffed when in reality the nursing home is short staffed”

— California Corporate Whistleblower

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, November 2, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — The California Corporate Whistleblower Center is urging an employee of a nursing home anywhere in California to call them anytime at 866-714-6466 if they possess proof their employer is billing Medicare as if the facility is fully staffed when in reality the nursing home is short staffed with the result being patients are receiving substandard care. The group is also extremely interested in hearing from a nursing home employee in California if their employer is significantly involved in unnecessary medical treatments for their patients.

The group believes nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities billing Medicare for hours never worked by staff is a gigantic national problem and they believe these practices are easy to prove. The group refers to this specific type of practice as ‘short staffing’ and they are convinced the potential whistleblower with proof of these types of practices could get a substantial reward as they would like to discuss anytime at 866-714-6466. http://California.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

As an example of what the Corporate Whistleblower Center is referring to, in June 2017 the Justice Department announced a national healthcare company that specializes long term care agreed to pay the federal government $53 million dollars over allegations that the company or their affiliates violated the False Claims Act by causing the submission of false claims to government health care programs for medically unnecessary therapy and hospice services, and grossly substandard nursing care. In this instance, the whistleblowers will receive a million dollar+ reward for their information.

The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “We would be very happy to hear from a nurse, a nurse manager or employee of a nursing home or skilled nursing facility with proof of their employer billing Medicare for hours never worked by staff, and or billing Medicare for medical procedures or therapy that were unnecessary over the last three or four years.

“If you possess this type of information please call us anytime at 866-714-6466. This type of information could produce whistleblower rewards starting at about one hundred thousand dollars and go up based on how widespread the wrongdoing is, and the level proof on the part of the whistleblower. Why sit what could be a winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?” http://California.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the California Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The California Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a California based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.”

Adoption Program Expands to Find Homes for Older Children

Children's Home Society of North Carolina expands partnership with Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and NC Department of Health and Human Services

GREENSBORO, NC, USA, November 1, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — GREENSBORO, NC – Coinciding with National Adoption Month, Children’s Home Society of North Carolina is announcing a significant expansion of a statewide program to find loving and permanent homes for older children languishing in foster care.

In partnership with the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Social Services, Children’s Home Society will expand the Foundation’s signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, an intensive child-focused recruitment program, within county social services agencies across the state.

“Older youth who are adopted are more likely to finish high school, go to college, be employed, and lead more stable lives than those who age out of foster care with no permanent family,” said Sharon Barlow, Director of the Division of Children’s Services in Guilford County. “We know that being connected to a family makes a life-long difference.”

“I don’t want to be in foster care until I’m 18,” said 15-year-old Nick, still longing for a family and a place to call home after 10 years in foster care. A big fan of participation sports, camping and fishing, Nick dreams of becoming a mechanic and designing cars when he grows up. A sincere, determined, and polite boy, Nick likes going to the YMCA, the library, and church.

“Expanding the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program and using its child-focused recruitment model means more children like Nick will leave foster care faster and find safe, loving, and permanent families,” said Rebecca Starnes, Vice President of Children’s Home Society of North Carolina. “Compared to one year ago, we are nearly tripling the size of this program from 13 to 35 caseworkers.”

In an independent study by Child Trends, children in foster care were up to three times more likely to be adopted when using the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids child-focused recruitment program, compared to children receiving traditional adoption services from community and public agencies.

An essential difference between the child-focused recruitment program and traditional services is smaller caseloads, giving each child as much attention as he or she needs and deserves and focusing on appropriate adults already in the child’s life.

“The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is driven by a single goal: finding a loving and permanent family for every child waiting to be adopted from foster care,” said Rita Soronen, President & CEO of the Foundation. “We have a successful and growing relationship with Children’s Home Society of North Carolina, who shares our core value of assuring a home for every child in need.”

The children served by the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program are those who have been in foster care the longest. Most are older than age 8; more than one-third had six or more foster homes; and, about half have been in foster care for more than four years.

“These children are just like any other child,” said Soronen. “They’ve simply had a rough start in life.”

“On any given day there are thousands of children in need of families in North Carolina,” said Starnes. “Individuals or families interested in adopting Nick, siblings, or another child, should call Children’s Home Society. We will guide parents-to-be through the adoption process.” (800-632-1400)
