Johnny ‘Suzuki’ Dangerfield shares details of work with religious organization's sports ministry

Johnny Dangerfield

Non-denominational Seacoast Church, located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, supports a variety of projects and initiatives.

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES, August 30, 2018 / — Among Seacoast Church's initiatives is its own sports ministry, known as Seacoast Sports. Backed by generous individuals and church members, the ministry has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The church exists in the wider sense to, in its own words, help people find God, grow their faith, discover their purpose, and make a difference, while Seacoast Sports is focused on what it calls Christ-centered fitness.

One Seacoast Church member, Johnny ‘Suzuki’ Dangerfield, owner of Automaxx of the Carolinas, is also a keen supporter of Seacoast Sports, having spent more than three years helping the organization's sports ministry to flourish.

Seacoast's gratitude toward Dangerfield for his support is evident. "Johnny Suzuki has been a godsend for the sports ministry here at the church," explains Seacoast director Wes Koch. "When I first met Johnny and mentioned that I was the director for the sports ministry at Seacoast, he was quick to respond," he adds.

"I said to Wes, 'If it has to do with God's kingdom and athletics… I'm in!'" reveals Dangerfield of the pair's first meeting.

Over three years later and true to his word, the Automaxx of the Carolinas boss has earned the title of Seacoast Sports' most trusted and active supporter. "Johnny consistently goes further than asked," says Koch, "and delivers more than we deserve."

He continues, "What's more, he does so with a true servant's heart, asking for no personal recognition in return."

Seacoast director Koch also points out John Dangerfield's willingness to offer any assistance which the church requires from his Summerville-based automotive business. "On top of that," he adds, "Johnny Dangerfield also puts in countless hours of his own personal time by making phone calls, arranging meetings, and organizing sponsors for our events and the sports ministry."

Such is the relationship between Johnny 'Suzuki', the church, and his business that several of the sports ministry's athletes have become Automaxx of the Carolinas customers. "So is one of our pastors," points out Koch. "The service which they all receive at Automaxx is second-to-none, and Johnny Cornelius Dangerfield enjoys being personally involved in making sure that everyone is treated fairly and has a fantastic experience."

Seacoast Sports brings what it calls "a message of salvation" to over 600 athletes annually. "There's no way we could do what we do at Seacoast Sports without the help of Johnny Dangerfield. I count him as a blessing from God," reveals Koch.

"Thank you Automaxx, and thank you Johnny," adds the Seacoast director of Suzuki, wrapping up, "for being someone who I can truly rely on for anything."

The event will be held at Downtown Clearwater’s Historic Fort Harrison at 5:30pm. There is no cost to attend.

“The first responders at Ground Zero are a perfect reminder of selfless service to others,” said Ms. Glendy Goodsell, Executive Director for the Scientology Volunteer Ministers (VM) Florida. “VMs are honored to have assisted those heroes during a very dark time in America’s history.”

Ms. Mirit Hendrickson, President of VM Florida, will serve as the MC for the banquet and present awards to several people who were on the front lines during Ground Zero. Those awardees include Judy Fagerman, a Volunteer Minister; the President of the New York Rescue Workers and a retired NYPD Detective and Lieutenant.

Each of the awardees will share their experiences during 9/11. After the awards, guests are invited to stay for a concert performance by the Church of Scientology’s Flag Band.

Taking lessons learned from assisting first responders on 9/11, VMs have since trained and partnered with more than 800 different groups, organizations and agencies including the Red Cross, FEMA, the National Guard as well as police and fire departments around the world.

In Clearwater, VMs are most noted for their work after Hurricane Irma with several hundred volunteers contributing to relief efforts on September 11, 2017. During a weeklong power outage in the Greenwood Neighborhood, the VMs cleaned the debris from every street in the neighborhood and provided food, water and ice for those in need.

The VM’s determination to help is described as L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology Founder, wrote, “A Volunteer Minister does not shut his eyes to the pain, evil and injustice of existence. Rather, he is trained to handle these things and help others achieve relief from them and new personal strength as well.”

“These films cover a wide variety of topics,” said event organizer Lisa Mansell. “As examples, we are showing a film on fracking, another on a program that helps veterans with PTSD recover through working with wild mustangs and yet another on a group of children who learn and perform Shakespeare’s plays. The point is to show that there are people around the world who have a positive outlook on humanity.”

Screenings will be held at the humanitarian centers along North Fort Harrison Ave starting at 5 pm. Refreshments will be served.

Ron Hubbard wrote that these are ‘A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology.’ We hope that by showing these films, people are inspired to help their communities as well as foster an interest in film.”

The Consequences of Taking Prayer Out of School, an editorial by Pastor John Collins, John Collins Ministries

Changing the face of Christianity, John Collins Ministries and Pastor John Collins speaks out on the topics that most pastors will not address from a pulpit.

Children can be taught to behave differently, to think differently, and to believe differently. All it takes is the Holy Bible. We must care enough to want to teach them.”

— Pastor John Collins, Evangelist, John Collins Ministries

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, August 30, 2018 / — For the first time in a long time there is a president in the White House who is not afraid to talk about God and country. Prayer and scripture are mentioned frequently by President Trump. There is still a need for a great deal of improvement in this country with Christianity and the time for that change is now. Pastor John Collins writes an editorial about the consequences from the removal of Christianity and prayer in school:

God has been banned from our public schools. Our Lord Jesus Christ has been expelled from our public schools. Prayer has been removed from our public schools. The Holy Bible is no longer welcome in our public schools. Is it any wonder why we are now living in a society that has forgotten to fear God? Our children now lack an education that includes the teachings of God and Our Lord Jesus Christ. By excluding the word of our Lord in school, this country has systematically destroyed the foundation of faith on which it was built. The consequences are high and will continue to mount.

Although this country was founded on Christianity, we have tolerance for all religions. This religious diversity is one of the reasons that we have found ourselves in this situation of denying God's admittance to public schools. The government will never advocate one religion over another. By deliberately choosing to be a country allowing all faiths and choosing none for our own, we have become a nation without God. As Patrick Henry wrote, "It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." This freedom that we have afforded others is what has brought this nation to its current deplorable condition. By secularizing the public school system, we have chosen to NOT choose God so that none are offended and Christianity is not forced on anyone. This is what is considered politically correct according to man's law. What about God's law? Where are the works that glorify God to be found in the slap in the face that He and His Son have received from our government with their decision to exclude God, Jesus and the Bible from the schoolroom? How much are they to take? We have become a nation of conformists who bow to the demands of faithless citizens to secularize the public schools and strip the fountain of salvation from our children. At what point will enough be enough? Jesus said, "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." This nation is being led by the blind and is falling into a ditch. Is this what we want? We have abandoned God and Our Lord Jesus Christ. Do we want God and Jesus to do the same? By secularizing our public schools, this nation is ascribing to and promoting atheism. If you will not declare that you are for God and Christ, you are declaring that you are NOT. Jesus said, "Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven." Jesus also said, "He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathers not with Me scatters abroad." By deliberately choosing to NOT choose a religion, this nation's government is denying God and Christ. By refusing to allow public schools to study the bible, worship and pray, the students are being denied access to their God and their Savior while they are attending school. Schools were not designed to keep religion out.

With the removal of God from our public schools, there has been an increase in abhorrent behavior by our children. There has been an increase of drugs, alcohol and violence in schools. There have been numerous shootings on school grounds by children. There has been an increase in teen pregnancy, rape, and assaults. There has been an increase of bullying to the point of harassment and resulting in suicides. Foul language and disrespect flows from the mouths of children and is common not only during school but also at home with their parents. There is a lack of morals among our children and most disappointing there is a complete lack of self-respect among our children.

All it takes is the Bible.

The Bible is the manual on which we should base our lives. Within its covers lies a very simple and complete set of instructions that have been given to us from God on how he wants us to live our lives. The word of God is eternal.

It is awful to contemplate the future of this nation without God and Jesus being returned to our children's curriculum. It is awful to observe the downfall of a people happen before your eyes. It is terrible to witness the cost being paid by our children when it all could have been avoided. It is my prayer and my hope that this country awakens from its sleep to the reality of the destruction that is imminent and makes the changes that are necessary for the mercy of God to fall on us.

John Collins Ministries was recently launched by Pastor John Collins to redeem the Gospel and change the face of Christianity while continuing to give a hand up-not a hand out-to those in need. A president who is not fearful of citing scripture or giving testament to the power of prayer is a fresh view for Christianity. Pastor John Collins is determined to make Christianity something to emulate, not mock. It is time for change.

The Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization opens their downtown Clearwater Fort Harrison Religious Retreat to monthly tours.

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA, August 29, 2018 / —
On Saturday, August 25th local residents toured the Historic Fort Harrison to find out more about the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization’s religious retreat. During the tour, they learned about its history, got their questions about Scientology answered and saw some of the community activities the Church hosts as well.

Guests were first shown the bustling Grand Fort Harrison lobby with its gold leafed moldings, black and white checkered marbled floor and other historic details of the 92-year-old building.

While touring, the guests had the opportunity to see the Fort Harrison in full swing during the Ebony Awakening Convention. Ebony Awakening has the mission to provide solutions and education for African American community leaders from across the U.S. to help uplift their communities.

In addition to the Auditorium and Fort Harrison Gardens, the guests viewed the beautiful Crystal Ballroom with its 11,000 piece Bohemian crystal chandelier and oval oak hard wood dance floor where dinners and dances for the areas social elite were held in its early days, and is used for community events today.

The guests visited some of the amenities frequented by Scientologists staying at the religious retreat including the Tea Lounge which boasts over 60 different types of teas and the Hibiscus Restaurant, the Fort Harrison’s fine dining restaurant. They met the maître d’ who gave them details about the menu, the Chef training and the ribbon he was wearing, awarded to him by the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the world’s oldest international food and wine society.

In addition to learning about the Fort Harrison’s historical features, guests asked questions about Scientology’s beliefs, symbols such as the 8-pointed cross, spiritual counseling and staff uniforms. Those who wanted to know more about the Church’s Spiritual Cathedral across the street – the Flag Building – visited the Scientology Information Center afterwards and watched “Inside Scientology: Flag,” an episode from the Scientology TV Network which provides a visual tour of the building and an intimate look at the history and significance of the Church of Scientology’s spiritual headquarters.

Guests stated, “I had no idea what this looked like on the inside until now. You really don’t see the full warmth and the beauty until you see it from the inside” and “Thank you for the tour. I enjoyed it and the building was quite impressive. I had no idea that people can be Scientologists and be part of other religions – like that Christian minister from the convention who said he was also a Scientologist. That really blew me away!”

The next Historic Fort Harrison Tour will be on the September 29th.
