Walid Phares Meets with Polish Officials on the Plight of Middle East Christians

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, January 24, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On November 26th, 2018, advisor to the American Mideast Coalition for Democracy, Dr. Walid Phares met with a Polish delegation led by Minister Beata Kempa and Ambassador Piotr Wilczek. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss US and European policies that support and protect persecuted Christians and other minorities in the Greater Middle East. During their visit to the United States, the Polish delegation met with several US officials including Ambassador Sam Brownback, United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom.

Phares, a former advisor to Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Mitt Romney on foreign affairs, shared his assessment of the situation of Christian and minority communities in the region who have been subject to oppression and persecution, including those in Iraq and Syria. He explained that Christians in the Middle East are divided into two communities: those living in geographic enclaves, like the Nineveh Valley in Iraq and Khabur plain in Syria, and those living as minorities within large cities or Muslim-majority areas. Phares suggested, and Minister Kempa agreed, that Western support for these endangered groups of Christians should adapt to their geopolitical realities. Countries providing aid to these communities should work with the national governments to protect the status of minority communities within their cities and villages and enable the groups to protect themselves when they live in geographical areas threatened by terror attacks.

The Minister agreed with Phares' assessment and offered her assessment based on her experience working to provide aid to Christians in the Middle East. Minister Kempa committed to muster support in Poland and throughout Europe for the protection of human rights of minority communities in coordination with the United States.

Phares stated, “There are minority communities with different geopolitical and legal statuses. While there are certainly challenges faced by most Christian groups in the region, the Christian and Yazidi communities in Iraq and Syria have been the most threatened with mass killing and ethnic cleansing. I am glad that the UN and later the United States designated ISIS’ actions as ‘genocide’ as I have recommended since 2014.”

He added, “Poland, and other European countries, are instrumental in helping, not only by raising the issue internationally, but also by assisting ground missions alongside the United States to provide direct protection to these persecuted groups.”

On January 19th, the Gentlemen’s Ball Against Human Trafficking event was held in the Fort Harrison, raising funds for anti-human trafficking purposes.

Human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream.”

— L. Ron Hubbard

CLEARWATER, FL, US, January 24, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On January 19th, Mr. Christopher King, grandson of Blues legend BB King and human rights advocate, held the Gentlemen’s Ball Against Human Trafficking fundraiser in the Fort Harrison, the Church of Scientology’s international religious retreat. With over 400 people in attendance, this was the highest attended event Mr. King has done in the Fort Harrison.

“We have lived through decades of Men and Women that have stood in the void fighting our battles,” said Mr. King. “It’s time for us to fight our battles, it’s time for us to stand for what is right, it’s time for us to be a unit, a true community that seeks a change through not only peace but the proper perspective.”

Mr. Christopher King was the main speaker and introduced the United for Human Rights program, one of the largest non-governmental human rights education initiatives, leading millions to discover their rights. Mr. King’s non-profit organization, the Gentlemen’s Course, uses the United for Human Rights program to educate the youth he delivers his course to.

Mr. Dylan Pires, the Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology and the evening’s host, said, “Humanitarian and Scientology Founder, L. Ron Hubbard, said, ‘Human rights must be made a fact, not an idealistic dream.’”

Guests danced the rest of the night with singer Joanne Andrews and the Church of Scientology’s Flag Band.

The Cub Scouts program seeks to teach children, from a young age, morals and skills that they will carry with them throughout their life.”

— Michael Soltero, CCV Center Manager

CLEARWATER, FL, US, January 24, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On 19 January, 81 members of Cub Scouts Pack 43 gathered at the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center for their annual Pinewood Derby, which teaches the young Scouts basic physics and woodworking skills. The Scouts learned these skills by creating the fastest, and most imaginative, cars from a simple block of pine wood alongside their parents before competing in more than 108 combined races for the grand championship.

Before the race began, the Scouts recited the Pledge of Allegiance, the Scout Law, and Scout Oath before sitting around the racetrack. The derby was done in several stages where the winners of each went on to compete against each other in later stages. The final place winners were awarded trophies and medals.

A larger trophy was bestowed on the grand champion before certificates were given to Scouts whose cars won in categories like most creative, best in show, or Scouts’ choice to recognize them for using their skills in craftsmanship.

One Scout mother said, “I want to thank the CCV Center staff so much for all of your help. We were looking for a facility that would let us use the space without charging us. The kids would not have gotten to race in the derby if you had not given us the facility.”

Pack 43 has been organizing the derby for 63 years, since it’s founding in 1953. The Pack has used the same racetrack every year, helping generations of Scouts learn basic skills.

“The Cub Scouts program seeks to teach children, from a young age, morals and skills that they will carry with them throughout their life. Humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard said, ‘Of all the information which became important to me, such as photography, woodlore, signaling, and many other subjects, the basics of it was laid in Scouting,’ and it was great to see this in action,” said Michael Soltero, CCV Center Manager.

It gives inspiration to the underdog, and teaches the lesson to ‘never giving up”

— Kathy Sweigart, the Theatre’s director

CLEARWATER, FL, US, January 24, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theatre will deliver an old-time radio-style performance of the western story, Come and Get it, at the Scientology Information Center, on Saturday, February 16th at 6:30 pm. There is no cost to attend and light refreshments will be served. All are welcome. The Center is located at 500 Cleveland Street in downtown Clearwater.

The story, written by L. Ron Hubbard, was featured in the October 1938 issue of Western Story Magazine.

“It’s a story about a young city slicker who inherits land following his father’s mysterious death,” said Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Center. “He’s trying to survive in unfamiliar circumstances, while trying to find the culprit behind his father’s demise. It’s a story that spans multiple genres – western, mystery and suspense.”

Guests are invited to pick up a complimentary copy of an L. Ron Hubbard’s pulp fiction story after the show. Photo opportunities are also available with the cast following the performance.

“This is a story which often plays out in life of having to deal with bullies and tough situations. It gives inspiration to the underdog, and teaches the lesson to ‘never giving up,’” said Kathy Sweigart, the Theatre’s director. “To add to the ambience of the story, guests are invited to come in their ‘wild-West best.’”

The L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theatre is a volunteer group founded in 2011. Their shows combine talented actors, costumes, lighting and sound effects to bring the exciting pulp-fiction stories written by L. Ron Hubbard to life.

“These performances are one of my favorite things to do! They are so entertaining! I feel like I am back in the 40’s,” said Francine, a regular guest.

L. Ron Hubbard was among the most prolific and popular writers of the 20th century. Indeed, between 1934 and 1940, some 140 L. Ron Hubbard tales appeared in the pages of legendary pulp magazines—often as many as three titles an issue and bylined under some fifteen pen names. With 19 New York Times bestsellers and more than 350 million copies of his works in circulation, Mr. Hubbard is among the most acclaimed and widely read authors of our time.

Bonnie Dysinger of Gentle Touch Healing to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

BENICIA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, January 23, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Turning to medications and pills to alleviate chronic pain and illness has known risks and side effects that can have devastating consequences. Since everything in existence is made up of energy it’s no wonder natural healing is so effective helping millions of people find relief. One exceptional woman is helping facilitate the balance needed to return people to a healthy state physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through her dedicated, remarkable work.

Bonnie Dysinger is an exceptional healing facilitator specializing in Esoteric Healing and founder of Gentle Touch Healing.

“In my practice I help my clients acquire their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual restorative health and healing according to the will of the client’s soul,” says Bonnie. “Through my study and practice of Esoteric Healing I learned about our chakras and energy bodies and their purpose. Esoteric Healing is a science and it’s reproducible; so, I teach people the philosophy and practical application of Esoteric Healing, and they too can balance the energy body. In healing ourselves we heal everyone around us.”

It was through Bonnie’s own personal struggles that she discovered the wonder of Esoteric Healing. When she began soul searching it led her to dabble in various natural healing modalities. She became a Reiki Master and a hypnotherapist. But it was Esoteric Healing that resonated with Bonnie most and where she learned about herself and how if our energy bodies are not balanced and flowing it affects our emotions, thoughts, physical body, and our known or unknown spiritual aspirations.

“I started understanding how our soul brings us tribulations,” says Bonnie. “But once we commit to move through these obstacles then we are supported by our angels, spiritual guides and masters, and our own soul.”

According to Bonnie everything around us is conveyed through our energy body. This affects how we react with our emotions, relate to others, and our thought patterns. When we are stuck in fear or unable to move forward in life, we are lacking a flow of energy somewhere in our energy body.

“Life is a series of lessons we are supposed to learn from while we live on this earth,” says Bonnie. “When we experience challenge after challenge, our soul is actually working hard to help us progress spiritually. And if we’re not learning from the lesson, then we get to repeat it.”

To live in a more peaceful state, change your perception of what goes on around you. Send light and love and prayers to those situations and know you are helping to raise the vibration of the whole world.

“Change starts within ourselves and balancing our energy allows us to let go of negativity that is stuck in our energy body,” says Bonnie. “We can absolutely move forward when we balance our energy. When your soul light permeates your energy unobstructed, you start growing into who it is you are supposed to be, and that is this being of love and light.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Bonnie Dysinger in an interview with Jim Masters on Friday January 25th at 1 p.m. EST.

Cub Scouts Take to the Pinewood Derby at the Clearwater Community Volunteers Center

Cub Scouts pack 43 will use the CCV Center to hold their annual Pinewood Derby where the Scouts compete for trophies.

The CCV Center works with over a dozen youth groups like the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America in order to help create the competent leaders of tomorrow.”

— Clemence Chevrot, Director of the CCV Center

CLEARWATER, FL, US, January 17, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On January 19th, Cub Scout Pack 43 will hold their annual Pinewood Derby inside the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center. More than 20 Cub Scouts will pit their gravity-propelled cars against the others in a downhill race. The adult volunteers of Pack 43 organize the Pinewood Derby every year to enable the youth to learn elementary sciences, such as the role of gravity, in a competitive atmosphere.

The 12-foot-long race track will be set up inside the Center alongside a scoreboard for keeping track of the race times. Winners of the race will be awarded trophies.

Ms. Clemence Chevrot, Director of the CCV Center said, “The CCV Center works with over a dozen youth groups like the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America in order to help create the competent leaders of tomorrow.”

The Cub Scouts is the preliminary program to the Boy Scouts of America for those youth whose ages range from 7-11. Youth in the Cub Scouts participate in fun activities that also help them in their education. The program was created to develop positive characteristics such as cheerfulness, kindness, and helpfulness in young boys.

The Pinewood Derby’s name hails from the blocks of pinewood that the boys craft into the small wooden cars used in the race.

“Educating youth through the Scouting program enables them to learn useful skills. With these skills they are able to lead moral and successful lives like L. Ron Hubbard once wrote, ‘Today’s Children will become tomorrow civilization. They need love and help to make it,’” said Dylan Pires, Eagle Scout and Community Affairs Director of the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization. The Church sponsors Troop 313 of the Boys Scouts.

The CCV Center was established by the Church of Scientology in late March 2018 to provide a safe, no-charge event venue to nonprofits like the Cub Scouts.
