For International Holocaust Remembrance Week, BAYT Hosts The Canadian Film Premiere Screening of A Riveting Documentary With An Unlikely Title: The Good Nazi

The generation of Holocaust survivors is almost gone and Holocaust denial is on the rise. Even in humanity’s darkest hour, you can still be human. The time to watch this important film is now.”

— Co-director Ric Bienstock & Co-producer Simcha Jacobovici.

TORONTO, CANADA, January 8, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Multi-award winning film makers Simcha Jacobovici and Ric Bienstock to present the Canadian Premiere Screening of Associated Producers’ (AP) latest documentary, The Good Nazi. It’s a film with an unexpected hero – a Nazi major. The Screening is on Saturday, January 19th at 7:30pm at Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto Congregation, 613 Clark Avenue West, Thornhill, Ontario, L4J 5V3. Tickets are available to the public: https://www.bayt.ca/event/the-good-nazi.html.

The Good Nazi tells the story of Major Karl Plagge, a Schindler-type German who, during the Second World War, saved hundreds of Jews in Lithuania. He accomplished this by creating a “forced labor camp” called “HKP” so as to protect Jewish men, women and children from the murderous SS.

HKP is the only Holocaust site in Europe that has not been destroyed or turned into a museum. It’s now slated for demolition, to make way for urban renewal. Before that happens a team of American and Canadian scientists converge on the place. They use ground-penetrating radar (GPR) in order to identify the mass grave of the Jews that were murdered by the SS and the secret hiding places – in the walls and in the ground – of the Jews who were saved by Plagge. A survivor, who hid in one of those secret spaces as a child, joins the scientists. Shot on location at HKP, The Good Nazi weaves the stories of Major Karl Plagge, the scientists and the survivors.

Co-director Ric Bienstock says: “The generation of Holocaust survivors is almost gone and Holocaust denial is on the rise. The time to watch this important film is now.”

Co-producer Simcha Jacobovici says: “The film demonstrates that even in humanity’s darkest hour, you can still be human – by doing the right thing.”

The Good Nazi was produced in Canada for VisionTV by Toronto-based Associated Producers (AP). AP is one of the world’s leading producers of non-scripted films. AP has garnered over 100 international awards for its documentaries, including a DuPont Award from Columbia University School of Journalism, two Alfred R. Murrow Awards from the American Overseas Press Club, three US Emmys for “Investigative Journalism” and two Donald Brittain Awards from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Both Ric Bienstock and Simcha Jacobovici have been honored with Canada’s highest recognition in broadcast journalism, the “Gordon Sinclair Award”. The Good Nazi is co-produced by Felix Golubev and co-directed by Yaron Niski.

Animal Communicator and Pet Psychic Patty Rayman to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

MIDVALE, UTAH, UNITED STATES, January 7, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated," is a famous statement by Gandhi that millions of animal lovers can wholeheartedly agree with. Pets provide so much emotional support for people and give unconditional love. People want to do everything they can to keep their animals happy and healthy. How many times do we wish we could listen to our pets and learn what they are genuinely feeling and understand how we can help them?

Patty Rayman is a gifted animal communicator and has worked as a professional pet psychic for almost 20 years. She can connect with all types of animals and helps people have a conversation with their pets and get answers to their questions.

"I have worked with thousands of animals and the people that love them. I have discovered that no matter what their religious beliefs, backgrounds and economic circumstances are, pets are their highest priority and have a major impact on many aspects of their lives," she says.

Patty was born with the ability to dialog with animals and they have always been her best teachers. When she was in college she took in a stray kitten. They developed an incredible connection and he helped her develop her natural abilities and ultimately perfect her animal communication skills.

"I feel that I have a responsibility to share my gifts and help animals and people understand each other better,” says Patty. “Communicating with animals is the most meaningful part of my life."

Patty does readings over the phone from photos, in person home visits and at events. She helps people solve their animal’s behavior challenges and understand their health issues. She does food evaluations to assist people in finding the best food for their individual animal. Food affects every aspect of an animal's life including their behavior, their overall health and their longevity.

Patty also helps people make end of life decisions for their beloved companions. Losing an animal can be devastating and she does grief counseling to help people deal with strong emotions.

"Love never dies and when animals pass on they are forever connected to their person. Death ends a life but it doesn't end a relationship,” says Patty. “Our animals are with us even after they pass on.”

Patty believes that anyone who loves animals has an ability to communicate with them. She teaches workshops and is also the author of Humans Think. Animals Feel. This book teaches a step-by-step method to help people think like their animal. When people work with their animals instead of against them they can effectively correct behaviors, change stressful relationships and create more meaningful partnerships.

CUTV News Radio will feature Patty Rayman in an interview with Doug Lewellyn on Monday January 7th at 2 p.m. EST.

Selfless prayers for balance of Nature by Sri Swamiji

World is experiencing an unaffordable impact of eco-tampering. At such time, Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji promotes the need to improve the eco balance.

VIJAYAWADA, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA, January 5, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — HH Dr Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji : Pray together to stay together; United Prayers – Hanuman Chalisa Chanting for World Peace and Balance of Natural Elements
His Holiness Dr. Sri Sri Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji conducts united and inclusive chanting for universal peace and natural balance.
World over, we are experiencing the adverse impact of eco-tampering – today, more than ever. Mankind cannot afford the wrath of the nature manifesting in forest fires, tsunamis, earth quakes, floods, drought – all at the same time in different places.
At such a time, His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, pontiff of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham of Mysuru, India is promoting human responsibility in improving the ecological balance and maintaining it. We have to strive to maintain the bio-diversity in addition to activities helping the balance of natural elements.
Hanuman Chalisa Parayana on the banks of River Krishna in Vijayawada
Based on the recent natural calamities the world is witnessing, Sri Swamiji has decided to offer united prayers to the natural elements for world peace. His Holiness, leading from the front, chose the banks of River Krishna to offer united parayana prayers on the 5th Jan 2019. Starting at 4PM, thousands of devotees started pouring in and by the time the chanting started at 630PM, there were more than 100,000 nature lovers determined to pray for the natural balance.
The reverberating chanting concluded when His Holiness lead the massive crowd to 18-time parayana of the most famous prayer of Lord Hanuman. This prayer, Hanuman Chalisa, written in Avadh language was penned by Saint Tulasi Das. Interlaced with the explanation of the divinity of Nature and the need to balance it, Sri Swamiji has captivatingly lead the chanting by the start of which even the sidewalks and roads are fully occupied with the crowds packing any place available to sit and participate in the divine event.
In addition to prayers, Sri Swamiji distributed thousands of saplings to the participants and advised everyone to plant them at their places to protect the nature.
Sharing is caring – As the food grain production and natural resources are declining, Sri Swamiji encouraged everyone to skip a meal and share with the less fortunate. All the participants positively responded to this noble call to share food with the underprivileged.
The prayers of thousands lead by His Holiness Himself is an attempt to appease and stop the most valuable natural element, Water, from giving the humanity any unanticipated trouble in the future. It is very appropriate that this event happened right on the banks of Krishna, the second longest river of the state.
The society that prays together stays together and Sri Swamiji has been leading that effort including the world’s largest gathering of Hanuman Chalisa Chanting, recognized by the Guinness World Records.
All the participants were provided with Food, water and Prasadam (Hanuman Raksha). The government officials including the Government represented by the ministers, law makers, police, municipal authorities and revenue authorities have participated and extended their support for the event.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Chandra Babu Naidu participated, inaugurated the invaluable event by lighting the lamp and received Sri Swamiji’s blessings. The chief of Jana Sena party, Sri Pavan Kalyan participated in the event and received Sri Swamiji’s blessings during the concluding celebrations.
Based in Mysuru, Karnataka, Sri Swamiji has established many ashrams to spread the message of peace around the world. His Holiness Sri Swamiji supports a multitude of social projects to help the downtrodden, including hospitals and schools in India to help the poor and needy, and homes for the aged. People around the world have received immense benefit from physical healing to spiritual guidance through His music therapy sessions. The Guinness World Record winning aviary, Shukavana and the World’s Largest Display including the Bonsai Garden, Kishkindha Moolika Vana make Ashrama the most visited place in Mysuru adding them to the important attractions of the already famous cultural capital city making Sri Swamiji’s Ashrama a must-visit-attraction.
His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji is a holder of 9-Guinness World Records, who has earlier created world history by leading a mass chanting event for universal peace with over 128,000 people in Tenali, Largest Music Therapy lesson in Sydney, Australia, a Marathon Prayer Chant for World Peace in Dallas, US, the largest Pranayama Lesson for individual well-being in Milpitas, US, the largest video album dedicated for universal brotherhood in Trinidad & Tobago, the World’s largest Srimad Bhagavad Gita book in Mysuru, the Shukavana aviary with most number of bird species, the World’s largest Bonsai display along with Kishkindha Moolika Vana in Mysuru.

Seeing a loved one being struck by a serious disease and suffering can be incredibly exhausting, notes Dr. Paul Norwood in his newest published advice

Valley Endocrine and Research (N/A:N/A)

The most common complaint of patients suffering from serious illnesses – especially when they are on the older side – is that they feel lonely during appointments.”

— Dr. Paul Norwood, Valley Endocrine clinic in Fresno, California

FRESNO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, January 5, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — In his newest article, nationally recognized doctor and researcher Paul Norwood, MD addresses those who surround the person afflicted by a disease, and shares his advice for them. The complete article will be published on the Blog of Dr. Norwood at https://PaulNorwoodMD.blogspot.com/

Regardless of how severe they may be, dealing with illnesses can be difficult. Diseases, conditions, and illnesses are generally not only associated with tremendous amounts of pain, but suffering from an illness can also be emotionally and psychologically draining. Add to that the fact that most treatments today cost an arm and a leg, and you’ve got yourself worrying about your financial situation amidst all of the pain and agony.

While calamity can strike at any time and is generally unannounced, seeing a loved one being struck by a serious disease and suffering can be incredibly exhausting for a number of different reasons. Not only is your mind constantly racing at how the treatment will progress, but you’re also left wondering about all the possibilities and the different ways in which you can offer your love and support to your friends and family in testing times.

Since we understand that you might not be able to think straight when your loved ones are undergoing treatment for a serious disease, we’ve got the perfect list of things to do in order to support your friends and family when they are

Interested in learning how you can offer support to your loved one when they are struck by a serious disease? Read on to find out as we tell you the best and most thoughtful ways in which you can show your love and support.

Accept the situation

If you’re like most people, you might have a hard time wrapping your head around the fact that your loved one may not be in the best of health for the next few weeks. With that said, however, accepting the situation and coming to terms with the fact that your loved ones are going through a tough time is the best way to ensure that you’ll be able to provide them with the support and love that they need during a difficult phase in their lives.

If you’re too preoccupied with worrying about all that could have been done to prevent such a situation from arising in the first place, chances are that you won’t be able to provide your friends or family with the love and support that they need most when they are suffering from a serious illness, condition or disease. By accepting the situation, you will essentially divert your focus on ways to be there for them and cater to their every need when they are going through physical and emotional distress.

Show them unconditional love

The psychological aspect of serious and life threatening diseases can never be emphasized enough. While most patients at some point or the other begin to feel like they are burdening their friends and loved ones, this especially holds true for patients who are suffering from serious diseases and may be bedridden.

If your loved one is struck by a serious disease and needs your help and assistance with even the most basic of activities or tasks such as walking to the front door or eating, showing them unconditional love is your best bet. Since it is easy for patients to feel like they are troubling those around them too much, or that you do not want to spend time with them any longer, showing your sick friends and family unconditional love in these testing times is your best bet to ensure that they do not only feel valued, but also know that they have a support system that they can count on when the going gets tough.

Whether you can help out by preparing health and nutritional meals at home or making handmade heartfelt cards, it is important to leave no stone unturned when it comes to making your loved one feel better.

Give them company

The most common complaint of patients suffering from serious illnesses – especially when they are on the older side – is that they feel lonely during appointments. Being there for your loved one during their appointments when doctors are breaking the worst of news to them or providing them with action plans for treatment and regaining stability in life is one of the best ways of showing that you care.

Accompanying your loved ones on their doctor’s appointments also helps you give off positive vibes and show them that they are not alone. By being there with your ill friend or family member, you can also help them believe that they have a strong support system that will always be there for them no matter what.

Monitor their health

While your loved one with a serious illness or medical condition might have a team of healthcare professionals or doctors keeping a close eye on their case, keeping track of their health and monitoring it in any way possible is a great way to show your love and support.

Often, patients can get agitated about the fact that their loved ones are not in sight when they are being injected, having blood drawn, or being provided with pill after pill to gulp down. This is exactly why you should make it a point to keep track of the medications and health status of your loved one to ensure that they feel like they are still important to you. One thing, however, that it is important to note that in serious scenarios, doctors might not grant you permission to take things in your own hands since that could cause problems. Should that be the case, it is important to respect the decision and authority of the doctor or other medical professionals and continue to offer support in other ways.

Help out with finances

As mentioned earlier, treatments for serious illnesses can cause a fortune. Needless to say, patients are often distressed worrying about their financial situation and how they’ll be able to cope with all of the medical bills. For this reason, it is important to help out with the medical expenses of the patient in any way possible to ensure that they know that they are covered and don’t have one extra thing to worry about.

Paul Norwood, MD, leads the team at Valley Endocrine in Fresno, California. Valued by his community for his caring and kind personality as well as his skills as a physician, Dr. Paul Norwood is also respected nationwide for his expertise as an endocrinologist.
